If Porto Azzurro is the most beautiful seafaring lounge on Elba, Capoliveri is certainly the prince of the hilltop villages; it almost seems to want to proudly flaunt its dominion over a territory that has no equal for its beauty. From any position of its perimeter, the visitor overlooks enchanting landscapes: sunny beaches framed by evergreen hills, all dominated by the imposing bulk of Mount Capanne.
The colors of this show vary with the path of the sun from sunrise to sunset, almost imposed by a celestial midnight. Capoliveri, in the evening, is animated by a cosmopolitan tourism that crowds the picturesque trattorias, shops, boutiques, stalls. There are frequent cultural events among which the most important is the INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL THE VOICES OF POETRY. The grape festival, which takes place at the end of September, has now achieved international fame.
ELBA RESIDENCE
has the privilege of being located two kilometers from Capoliveri, four kilometers from Porto Azzurro and only 400 meters. from the beach of Naregno. This beach offers tourists countless services: minimarket, restaurant-pizzeria, bar, diving school newspapers, sailing school, rental of small sailing and motor boats, rental of umbrellas and deck chairs on the beach under concession; stretches of free beach are also available.
In the evening a motor boat makes a ferry service to the square of Porto Azzurro (7 minutes).
It is also possible to reach Capoliveri and its most popular beaches with a minibus which leaves in front of the entrance every hour.
The coast south of Naregno, immediately after the beach of Straccoligno, and up to the Innamorata beach is one of the few stretches of the Elban coast left in its wild state: walking along that coast, stopping in the intimacy of some coves for a swim is a a real privilege. From Naregno there are regular boats that cross that coast. For those who have a bit of confidence with the sea, you can rent a rubber dinghy.
ELBA RESIDENCE is managed directly by the owner who designed the structure back in 1970. Each year the residence improves by adapting to the new needs of modern tourism. The apartments, almost all with sea view, have air conditioning, heating, television.
A common area, completely fenced, of 6000 square meters, surrounded by greenery, dominates the Naregno valley (inserted for its naturalistic value in the Park) and sweeps over the splendid emerald green bay
Customer parking is covered. For younger guests there is a playground, in the cool of a pine forest.
For summer evenings, guests who love good company have a large gazebo at their disposal in which there is a large barbeque with pizza oven and … .. the manager willing to lend a hand.
However, the flagship of this structure is the customers acquired in forty years, with whom the manager has established friendly relationships. Some of these friends have given way to children and grandchildren: three generations of honest, professional work sealed by deep affections.
